5-Day Course Program

Day 1: Welcome, Orientation & Building the Creative Community

• Networking and icebreakers: building an international learning community with
  European colleagues.

• Course Introduction: setting shared pedagogical goals, outlining course logistics, and
  mapping participants' expectations.

• Sharing institutional contexts: introducing participants' home schools and discussing
  common educational challenges.

• Cultural integration: a guided tour in the city center to inspire place-based
  observation and informal networking.
   

Day 2: Foundations of the Design Thinking Process

• Introduction to Design Thinking: demystifying the mindset, history, and core
  philosophy of human-centered design.

• Unpacking the Methodology: a deep dive into the sequential phases of Empathy,
  Definition, Ideation, Prototyping, and Testing.

• The Empathy Stage in action: practical techniques for observing and interviewing
  students, teachers, and school stakeholders to understand their true needs and
  desires.

• Hands-on workshop: problem framing and defining actionable design challenges
  from real school scenarios.
   

Day 3: Design Thinking for School Transformation & Career Adaptability

• Design Thinking for school reasons: adapting the framework to build engaging,
  cross-curricular lesson plans and project-based learning modules.

• Navigating complex environments: addressing the realities of modern, fast-changing
  educational work environments through creative problem-solving.

• Career adaptability for educators: fostering resilience and flexibility to meet evolving
  pedagogical and technological demands.

• Proactive career behavior: designing actionable personal growth strategies and
  professional leadership goals within your institution.
   

Day 4: Life Design & Applying the Methodology to Personal Life

• Design Thinking beyond the classroom: translating human-centered ideation and
  experimentation into personal development and wellbeing.

• The Life Dashboard workshop: mapping your current energy, work-life balance, and
  professional fulfillment to identify areas for creative redesign.

• The Good Times Journal: utilizing daily reflection tools to track energy-giving
  activities, prevent burnout, and boost daily motivation.

• Prototyping personal goals: micro-stepping and testing small, positive behavioral
  adjustments in your daily school and personal routine.
   

Day 5: Pedagogical Synthesis, eTwinning Dissemination & Certification

• Pedagogical approach and "Idea Fair": presenting the Design Thinking lesson
  projects and prototypes developed during the course for constructive peer feedback.

• European dissemination: how to structure, showcase, and publish your project
  results and collaborative methodologies on eTwinning.

• Future collaboration: dedicated space for international networking, discussing future
  Erasmus+ cooperation, and planning follow-up school activities.

• Course round-up, final reflection, and overall evaluation of professional growth.

• Validation of learning outcomes and official Certification Ceremony, followed by
  participant departure.

Course Format: 5 days / Over 25 hours of interactive workshops, prototyping
sessions, and collaborative learning

Target Audience: Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, and Vocational Teachers,
School Leaders, and Educational Staff

Certification: Participants will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance outlining the
core competencies achieved. For educators participating within the Erasmus+
framework, Europass Mobility documents will also be validated and issued to formally
recognize the professional development completed.
