This innovative 5-day Erasmus+ professional development course equips teachers with
essential, practical knowledge of how the brain actually learns. By bridging the latest findings
in neuroscience with everyday classroom practice, this course focuses on core principles of
brain function, memory retention, motivation, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity.

5-Day Course Program

Day 1: Introduction to Neuropedagogy & Brain Function

  • Networking and icebreakers: establishing an international learning community and
    sharing institutional contexts.

  • Overview of neuropedagogy: exploring the bridge between neuroscience and
    education, and demystifying common educational "neuromyths."

  • Basics of brain function: understanding neuroplasticity, cognitive load, memory
    consolidation, and how neural pathways are formed during the learning process.

  • Hands-on workshop: evaluating your current classroom methodologies and
    identifying opportunities to integrate brain-friendly teaching practices.

     

Day 2: Memory and Retention Strategies

    short-term memory, and long-term memory storage.

  • Evidence-based retention techniques: mastering practical classroom strategies such
    as spaced repetition, interleaving, and active retrieval practice.

  • Overcoming cognitive overload: how to chunk information effectively and design

Day 3: Emotion, Motivation, and Learning
