Design Thinking

The course will enable you to learn the steps of the design thinking methodology and its potential for implementation in the school curricula. The workshops will lead you throughout the process and enable you to discover the ways of utilizing it at every level of education. You will use this mindset and approach to learning, collaboration, and problem-solving that is based on identifying challenges, gathering information, generating potential solutions, refining ideas and testing solutions. You will learn how to apply the Design Thinking process to create equitable change in schools through a community-led, equity-centered and design-driven process. You will also learn how to foster out-of-the-box thinking and solve complex problems.

This course has a very practical approach to problem-solving. It will teach you how to develop a deep understanding of human needs, wants, and desires through observation, how to generate as many ideas and potential solutions as possible, and how to create and test prototypes of your solutions.
